Terms of Service

WishCrane is a service operated by Darecube. Where these terms say "we", "us" or "our", they mean Darecube. Where they say "you", they mean the person making a card.

You pay once for one birthday card website. We host it on a private link and keep it online. There is no subscription, nothing renews, and there is no separate hosting fee.

What is included:

• One card on a private link of its own
• Up to twelve of your photos
• A four digit code that has to be entered before the card opens
• The ability to edit the card for 24 hours after it goes live

You need to be at least 16 years old, or old enough to enter a contract where you live, whichever is higher. If you are younger, ask a parent or guardian to make the card.

Everything you upload stays yours. We do not claim ownership of your photos, your letter or anything else you write.

You give us permission to store your content and show it on your card link, because that is the only way the service can work. That permission ends when your card is deleted. We do not use your photos to advertise WishCrane, we do not put them in examples, and we do not show them to anyone who does not have your link and your code.

You confirm that you own what you upload, or have permission to use it, and that sharing it does not break anyone else's rights.

Do not use WishCrane to:

• Upload anything illegal, or anything you do not have the right to use
• Harass, threaten, impersonate or humiliate anyone
• Upload sexual content, or any image of a child that would not belong in a family album
• Upload someone else's private photos without their agreement
• Break, overload or probe the service, or try to reach data that is not yours
• Resell the service or pass it off as your own product

The price is shown before you pay and depends on where you are. People in India pay in Indian rupees. Everyone else pays in US dollars. The price you see at checkout is the price you are charged, and it is fixed at the moment your order is created.

Payments are handled by Razorpay. Your card details go to them directly and never reach our servers. We only ever see that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the currency.

We may change our prices at any time. A change never affects a card you have already paid for.

WishCrane is a digital product. Your card is built and delivered the moment you pay, so all sales are final and we do not offer refunds.

If you were charged twice for the same card, or your card never worked and we could not fix it, write to us within seven days and we will put it right.

You can change anything on your card for 24 hours after it first goes live, as many times as you like. The window runs from the moment the card is published and does not restart when you make a change.

After 24 hours the content is fixed. The card itself stays online. If something is badly wrong after the window closes, write to us and we will see what we can do.

Cards that were never paid for are temporary. If you start a card and do not complete payment, we delete the draft and everything in it, including every photo you uploaded, after 60 days of no activity. We do not warn you before this happens, so finish a card you care about.

Paid cards stay online. We intend to keep them up indefinitely. If we ever have to close the service we will email you first so you can save what you made.

You can ask us to delete a paid card at any time and we will remove it along with its photos.

We work to keep WishCrane running all the time, but we do not promise it will never be down. Maintenance, a failure at our hosting provider, or something outside our control can interrupt it.

We may add, change or remove features. If a change would meaningfully affect cards that are already live, we will tell you by email.

The WishCrane name, logo, template designs, artwork, code and written copy belong to us. Paying for a card gives you the right to use your finished card. It does not give you the right to copy our designs, resell them, or build a competing product from them.

We can take down a card that breaks the rules in section 5, or that we are legally required to remove. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. We do not refund a card removed for breaking these terms.

WishCrane is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or knock on losses, including a missed birthday, upset feelings, or anything else that follows from the service being unavailable.

Where we are liable, our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the card in question. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change is significant we will tell you by email. Continuing to use WishCrane after a change means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer somewhere else, you keep any protections your local law gives you that cannot be signed away.
